We went back to Whitehouse for 10 days mid January. We booked a concierge room and we were greeted by Lancelot (be still my beating heart) As we had booked weird days, Sir Lancelot explained that he wanted to upgrade us, but a room wouldn't be available for 2 days. No problem mon! Many thanks to Amy at Dream Makers for even the tease of an upgrade.

For those questioning concierge service, we'll never book otherwise now. The room service was outstanding. However, I'm a beach person until sundown, then my great joy is to sit on a deck all night long and read. Sandals will never lose money with me in restaurants!

2 days later Sir Lancelot (did I say easy-on-the-eyes!!!) found us on the beach and upgraded us to a beautiful beachfront suite. Thank you Amy.

Paradise. Nothing other than paradise.

The water was not great when we were there (storms had gone through before we arrived and the water was murky) but I had brought my own floaty and was in bliss. The scuba folks will blow up a float for you if you bring your own. I brought a clear coloured one (didn't want to pollute the serenity with a garish colour!)

I must give a huge shout-out to the girls in the Cafe. How wonderful it was to walk in early each mornng and have them greet me with a smile.

We love everything about Whitehouse. There is nothing not to love.

That said, I do have a couple of negatives to mention. Nothing about the resort itself, rather, the conduct of guests.

I was upgraded to a dream room and had a woman in the room beside me that hollared & screamed for a week straight. Bitched & complained & belittled her Butlers. Quite literaly spent the full week 10 steps outside of my room bitching & complaining about...nothing. Then we had the Return Guest Dinner & the loudmouth who dominated the table and demanded all the attention. Both those people are on this site. (Hey, they let the world know through all the bitching so I am just telling what they had alraedy told anyone within earshot) Let me remind us all that the world is very small & inappropriate behaviour will haunt you.

Whitehouse, I love it, the new manager & his wife are lovely, the staff is fabulous, restaurants were great, no delays, scuba & beach sports attendants were outstanding.

I went to the spa once and was thrilled with the treatment, but not the heavy sell. May have only been that one person though. The spa manager was great.

I love Whitehouse. Greastest place on earth to us.

Your review brought back some great memories from last January. In fact, we just booked for next January 22-29 at Whitehouse. Hope the Walk on Water group will be there again.

We actually spent last evening going through the Whitehouse listings looking at booking for January also. We love everything about Whitehouse. Hope you have a great time, you'll be there after the dates we are pondering.

We also are booked for Jan. 22-29 at SWH. This will be the first time we have booked a concierge suite. We have always booked the next to the lowest category of room before and were always pleased. We booked the room last Jan. at the soon come back desk and really glad we did as they have raised prices quite a bit. The only reason I can really see that you would need a reservation is for a large group. Having said that, I would like to see them add an English pub like they have at SRC.

I don't drink, except on holiday. I sit from sundown on, sip champaigne (sp?) & read my books. Bliss. Order room service, and I read on.

Next holiday is SEB. At least DH can sit in the Pub while I sit on my terrace & read.

You will love it. There is no other place on earth like Whitehouse.

When are you going to SEB? If you are looking for a half day tour, the Brigantine Islands tour is great. The highlight of our week.

This will be our 3rd time at SWH and my husband and I both love to read. I bought a Kindle last year because it's hard to pack that many books! Now my husband uses it all of the time too and we both have Kindle apps on our phone so we can read from them also.

As you have concierge service this time you will find a good assortment of books available in the concierge office that you will be able to borrow. There is also a fairly large library just outside of reception but they ask you to sign them out (you probably alreaby know about that one from your previous trips).

I've thought about a kindle, am now looking at an Ipad. Pretty much have convinced myself that I "need" an Ipad Hubby keeps saying that maybe Santa will bring one. Personally, I think he's daft. Our trip to SEB is in November LOL.

If you decide to have room service I highly recommend the steak. Honestly, it was small but cooked to perfection. DH & I were amazed at how tasty is was.
