Arrived right on time and breezed thru immigration? the resort seems to be pretty well booked solid and it looks like an impressive wedding reception going on today. We did the pre-checkin online and all requests were met, and our in room bar setup arrived shortly after. If you dont do pre-checkin, requested in room bar supplies will not be available till next day. Being returnees, we get 100 Resort credit on top of the 300 credit we got with this booking, so definitely some spa time. We are in Garden Verandah down at the Great House end of the resort. The ocean water is already like bath water, and you can now walk out to the ropes and still only be waist deep, as thats how much the sand is naturally replenishing itself. Patois for dinner tonite, we are both beat! Lunch at Palms was nice...fried chicken, several Mexican selections, snapper and even baked potatoes. We also snacked at Seagrapes. Sweet poatoes chips are to die for, and the fried snapper on coco bread was yum

Another beautiful morning in Negril. The resort is definitely busy as last nite at 730 all the restaurants were hopping. We did Patois Wed. nite and Lemongrass last nite. Enjoyed Patois, Lemongrass not so much, but we are not big fans of that food but wanted to try. Loved the Cuban crab sweet potato au gratin for the appetizer at Patois! Tonite is Feathers cause we didnt want to do the beach party. Lunch Thursday at Palms was Asian themed.
They did indeed install a stop light at the crossing to the sports complex across the street. Im sure the Jamaicans are just thrilled!
Wifi is good so long as youre on the patio...its included free

We just love CSA. Enjoy Feathers tonight. It was our favorite. Isn't Negril breathtaking!

This is our third trip here, first in 18 months, and we actually return again in Sept. for what we vacation for, this is perfect, and the deals we got were way too good to pass up. Our room is pretty close to the road, but traffic noise is a non- issue.

This morning most of the palapas at our end of the beach were already taken by 530 am. We have been getting up at that hour so we can get in a nice early morning walk at the sports complex across the road. Not many resorts if any have such nice sports complexes! We do 6 laps and by my counting steps Im thinking we do 2 and 1/4 miles or so. We have also noticed that so far there has been a crispness to the air early. When the sun shines it is hot, but lower humidity it seems. We have not run the a/c yet. Other than sleeping we live on the patio with the doors open. We are in building 10 I think, just 2 buildings from the Great House. I love this room, 4103, cause on our patio we see nothing but lush tropics, and it offers a feel of privacy, and in the afternoon we get no sun. Occupancy remains high.

Friday night we dined at Feathers. Food was good as usual, however there was quite a long wait between appetizers and main entree. Servers kept apologizing. Linda had lamb loin, and I had a combination of fried lionfish and coconut dusted shrimp. Filet mignon was not on the menu that night. One thing we noticed though was how loud it seemed inside there that night. Returnees is Monday but is at Patois instead of Feathers, could be just Patois offers more seating.
Saturday night we id Palms and it was very good. Linda had the special, lamb chops, and her comments were some of the best she ever had, just wish they had come with mint jelly. I had jumbo shrimp and scallops. Fried calamari was excellent for a starter, and I also had beef carpaccio.
They used to have Miller Lite beer here at the bars, but now just RedStripe, both regular and lite.
The ocean is ultra calm this morning, so am off to grab a floatie and enjoy

How was the lion fish? what would you compare it to? we have been on several dives where the DM spearfishes as they are a menace to the other species.
